I presented ideas on the theme Visualization: Parametrics as an opportunity within Architecture in this lecture for 4th year engineering students. Mixing contemprary references and alternate visions on the potential of new digital techniques for architectural production, the aim was here to introduce parametric design principles as a crucial factor in the architecture of tomorrow.

Rendering of sign in two different configurations

To complement a previous design for Swedish Travelling exhibitions, Show Unit, I was asked for a quick sketch for a sign to help visitors find their way to the mobile video screening space. The design was based on the original form of Show Unit, and colors will be set to match the particular venue.

Pär and Olof

Olof Philipsson and Pär Thunberg presented their collaborative diploma project Cooperative Design Process, from Urban Strategy to Design Detail at the KTH School of Architecture. The presentations gave rise to very interesting discussions on their strategy, methods and results. The jury was all in favor of this type of collaborative work, in this case between an architect and an engineer. All in all, a very good presentation, and rigorous work from both students.
