I was ofcourse very flattered of the mentioning of my thesis in different presentations by my advisors, which led to that others also became interested. I left a copy to Nina Gunne, who will wirte on research in Arkitekten shortly.<\/p>\n<p>Many issues were of course presetned and discussed during the forum. There was an overview of research relations dividing the terrain into three areas: Academic research, the profession and &#8220;samh\u00e4llsbyggande&#8221;- the continued development of the built environment and our society. Emphasis was put on looking at the city as a whole (\u00d6rjan Wikforss). Inpro, the EU development project with practices as well as universities as partners, and with a focus on tools and methods for early proejct stages was mentioned. Annika von Scheele asked for a national research program, and presented alarming figures on the percentage of research reinvestment within the building industry (0.02%- in SBUF). [She also asked for my thesis, will send he a copy ASAP]. Peter Frost rpesented methods framed as Design Dialogues, as a collaborative design instrument (user participation), and he worked on his thesis at the Interactive Institute in Malm\u00f6. Katja brought back the important issues of architectural research as a practice in itself, with a very specific culture.
