As part of the board of directors of the firm I was part of this one day workshop, facilitated by Kairos Future. The aim was to form a vision for 2015. Different themes were formed in the session, including: business perspective, processes and innovation, research and development as well as the learning organization.
The workshop was exclusive to the partners of the firm, with the exception of myself. While this session was important to form new ideas in the firm, I felt obliged to remind the teams that these processes are already underway within the development organization. It seems very difficult to get an acceptance of the work that is carried out, but I also realize that the current R&D is very much bottom-up, and there is a need for clear and well founded directorship linked to the board of the company.
