Diploma student passed 14/10

I have been main advisor for Alexander Trimboli, who presented and passed this date. He was supposed to have completed already in May, but for vaious reasons he postponed. It has been a challenge, Alex is very skilled but has many difficult issues with trust and confidence. I am very happy that he presented and also managed to facilitate a very interesting discussion, in which it was apparent that two out of three jury members were really excited about his project. He barely passed, with an E. I am the first to agree that the project could have been stronger, but when comparing it to other projects graded E, I just cannot believe the principles for marking. It seems that in order to get bettter marks, one must develop a project within a very narrow field of (conventional) architecture. Ales looked into very specific designs fro isolation wards in hospitals, and he is very infromed on the situation having worked as an amblance paramedic. His work also employs advanced digital design and fabrication and operates on a system level. You should see it!
